Our 2025 Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest Winners received their certificates and cash prizes of $100.

This year’s essay theme directed participants to discuss their three favorite popes. Thanks to all who participated!

Avery Andrews, freshman at French Settlement High School, receives her ceremonial check and certificate from Grand Knight Jimmy St. Pierre and Family Program Director Blaise Cornett.

Chanler Fontenot, sophomore at French Settlement High School, receives his ceremonial check and certificate from Grand Knight Jimmy St. Pierre. This is Chanler’s second year placing in the Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest. In 2024, Chanler won the freshman division of our council’s contest and went on to place at the diocesan level.

Audrey Freeland, our eleventh grade essay winner, receives her ceremonial check and certificate from Grand Knight Jimmy St. Pierre and Family Program Director Blaise Cornett.
