Council Celebrates 50th Anniversary

On January 18, 2026, our council held a brunch to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of it’s founding.

We were fortunate to have some of our founding members attend our anniversary celebration. From left to right: Mike Halker, John Guitreau, Deacon Jimmy Little, Phillip Berthelot and L.J. Patterson. Each of these men’s names appear on our original charter.

Our Council’s original charter is proudly on display in the St. Joseph Church Hall. The document commemorates the 58 men who were founding members of the Blessed Eugene Council No. 6753, established on January 22, 1976.

State Deputy Bobby Charpentier attended our Anniversary Celebration and awarded our Council a 50 year certificate.

Deacon Jimmy Little, one of our charter members, receives a plaque honoring 50 years of service and leadership within our church and council.
